Teachers' union sends 'bottom-line offer to avoid a strike'

It what a teachers' union official called "a bottom-line effort to avoid a strike," members of the Waukegan Council of the Lake County Federation of Teachers will conduct a pre-approval vote on Tuesday, April 8, on an offer that, in part, scales back salary demands in exchange for a shortening of the current school year by three days.
