Buffalo Grove parks leader Schimmel retiring; deputy set to take over

Buffalo Grove Park District Executive Director Dan Schimmel will retire at the end of the year, the district announced Monday, ending a nearly 24-year run with the district that included roles in the construction of the Buffalo Grove Fitness Center and Buffalo Grove Golf and Sports Center facilities.
